Variable and Expression.

Variable - A letter that represents an unknown number.
  • It also means something we don't know, or haven't figured out yet.
Example: x, a, or n.


Expression: Any single number or variable or combination of operations. Examples of operations are ( -, +. x) Involving numbers and variables.

Example: 5, n, 8t, x+1, 2y -7.
