BEDMAS question on February 10

The V with the line means square root.
We didn't learn much about it. Isfeld did however tell me it was almost like dividing so you add it in with division and multiplication. You would do the square root after brackets and exponents before division because it goes left to right.

The rest is the same thing we usually do:
Brackets
exponents
division and multiplication
addition and subtraction
